Paul Donati just caught a 39 pounder off the North end of the Brigantine with the old Riptide Rotters. They have struck several times today as we have weighed in 5 fish up to 18 pounds prior to the monster hitting the scales. The flounder season has started but not with a bang like last year. We have yet to hear of any Flatty McDaddys being caught. The blues have invaded the back bays and I did hear two reports of 150 pound tuna behind the scallop boats. Could this mean the beginning of an early tuna season??? Why not everything else in the fishing cycle has been wacky.
