A steady pick in the Brigantine waters.

The bite has continued to be hot if you like the summer fishing. Kings, blues, croakers, and stripers are in the surf and back bays. We are still waiting for the striper migration to start and that should be in the next couple of weeks. The water temps have just started to dip below 70 degrees but who knows when they will start to move. In the Spring the stripers were hanging around here for two months even though the temps were climbing which should have sent them farther North but it didn't. You can go crazy if you try and pick a certain temp or time to figure out when the run will begin. The Atlantic County Striper Derby started on Monday and has several different species of fish that will win you cash prizes. Stop by the shop for all the details.

 Thanks and Good Luck

 Capt Andy
