HOOKED ON FISHING NOT DRUGS TOURNAMENT THIS SATURDAY 8/11 Don't want anyone to forget this weekend is the big event. 8:00 am are sign-ups and the kids (and adults) will have a blast. The weather should be great and I just hung up with the king of king fish and he said he is bringing all his buddies down for a meal. On the fishing front the fishing front Branden O'Grady caught his first flounder ever off the South end jetty. He was using Yes you guessed it squid and minnows?? I know you thought I was going to say Berkley Gulp but he must have caught the last flounder in the ocean that has not tasted the gulp yet. It seems like most of the flounder have moved out front in search of cooler waters. The snapper blues have been all over, and I am still waiting for the kingfish to invade the surf, especially with the tournament this weekend. If you can make it off shore which a lot of boats have been having trouble this week, the tuna bite is still red hot and the inshore trolling for bonita and skip jack has turned on pretty good also. We have loaded up with all the Tuna, Marlin, and all the offshore tackle and bait you will need to catch a monster. We are holding a ballyhoo and butterfish rigging seminar on Sunday 8/19 at 7:00 am. It is limited to 15 and the spots are going quick so call me at the shop or e-mail me to reserve your spot. Capt Jeff Santarpio will be conducting the class and will show us some really great techniques. Did I mention HOOKED ON FISHING IS SATURDAY???
