Jerry weighed in a 29" striper caught off the Brigantine North end today. He was using a storm shad. That is a great sign that the fish are starting to come out from the back bays and sweeping the front of the beaches. The winds have been blowing NE at a steady 20 kts, now they have switched around to the south. That should churn up the clams and get the bass to start feeding. We are also expecting a frost to cover the grounds this week which will drop the water temps to what we need. For those who are wondering, Jerry is a lurker on the site but has not registered as of yet so the 25.00 bounty is still out there. Jerry, don't worry we will still take care of you the next time you are in the shop. I think this week will start the season and by next weekend I am expecting a 20+ pounder in the suds.
Thanks
Capt Andy
