As you know the fishing has been slow this week off the surf. If you are looking for spot they have invaded the surf and anglers have been out there all day long trying to catch their fill for the fall season. There are flounder (short) moving into the surf and we are getting signs of blues (not many) also mixed in. I think that they surf will explode soon with blue fish and brown sharks to get us through the second half of the summer until the bass start to make their migration South.

 Mark on your calendar Sept 13, it is when The Riptide SurfcasterS’ will be holding their first annual ASAC’s sanctioned surf fishing tournament. Everybody and anybody can fish this event and it is a great way to meet a great group of anglers that like to fish hard and have fun. You can enter individually or with a team. Check out the site or call the shop for all the details. The weather is starting out cloudy but should clear up nicely today. I am looking to move some reels (Shimano Spheros) at a great price. Stop in and take advantage of the money you can save before I put them up on the Internet.
