Besides having no bait in the shop till noon, there was SNOT grass all over the surf. I know Tom K called and said he had 1 big blue by the jetty but that was all I really heard about today. We did get fresh bunker and clams in today and will be ready for the striper onslaught that is going to take place on Tuesday. I think I might even have a day off and I will have to get out there and turn the bite back on. The weekend had a good bite although we did have 10,000 people fishing. I guess if you are going by ratios then the bite was not so good??? We did weigh in some nice fish and even the Mac Brothers weighed in some suicidal blue fish to 10.5 pounds ( they suck more than I do at fishing). Hopefully with the wind changing tomorrow the water will clean up and turn the bite on again. Running out of bait at the shop sucks but we were so busy and I didn't expect the crowd that came down to fish. I try to stay ahead of the game but I dropped the ball this weekend....sorry :(
