Last night it started and has continued through the morning. Another school of stripers have been hanging out around Brigantine Island just waiting for that delicious bunker and clams that we have been supplying. Jim Pondo was just shy of hitting the 20 pound mark and making the local 98 proud. Sal Randazzo caught a 20.5 pounder at the cove using clam. He claims he has been fishing for 30 years with out getting a bass, the drought is finally over. Kevin Ruedde Jr has now taken over the Riptide Striper Derby with a 47" 36.5 pound striper. Luke had a 46 inch 30 pounder and Jim Pruchnicki had two 16 pounders. The morning has been very busy. We have loaded up with FRESH bunker again and that seems to be the bait of choice although clams have not been bad either. Today is the last day to weigh in a fish for the biggest in October and 36.5 pounds is what you have to beat to collect the 50.00 cash prize for the month. The Riptide Striper Derby will continue for the next 2 months and we also have a biggest striper for the month of November and you can enter at anytime but you can't enter a fish for 24 hrs so don't forget to sign up now. The fish are being caught up and down the beach from North end to the cove so the only hot spot I can give you is BRIGANTINE BEACH!!!!!!! We have pictures and fisherman to back up all the reports. Beautiful weather and the fish are here so shut down your computer and get down here and fish before the weather drops to 20 degrees and you start to regret not being out here in the nice weather.
