It’s hard to believe that they are cutting the flounder season off so early this year but this tomorrow is the final day to fish for the doormats. It seems like the flounder fishing is just starting to heat up with keepers and now they have to shut it down with many frustrated anglers wondering what they will fish for until the stripers start to make their Fall run??? We still have blues all over and croakers are out there in 30-40 feet of water. I’m still waiting to see if we have a repeat from two years ago when the kingfish showed up in full force the day after Labor Day?? The Atlantic City Striper Derby pins are now on sale at the shop but don’t forget that you can’t drive the front of the beach until September 28th when the tournament actually begins.
